GEM Fellowship for the College of Sciences

The GEM program provides funding for graduate education through corporate sponsorships and a partnership with university partners. Students who are selected into the GEM Fellowship program are required to complete a corporate internship during the summers and attend graduate school during the fall and spring semesters. In exchange, students are provided funding for graduate school through an agreement with their home institutions. To learn more about GEM’s application please visit:

Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering/Sciences (SURE)

SURE is a 10-week summer research program designed to attract qualified under-represented minority and women students into graduate school in the fields of engineering and science. As one of the longest running summer research programs in the country, SURE has a proud legacy of helping students enter into graduate programs, especially at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

President’s Undergraduate Research Awards (PURA)

President’s Undergraduate Research Awards fund student salaries to conduct undergraduate research with Georgia Tech faculty and offset travel expenses for undergraduates to present their research at professional conferences. Between two hundred and three hundred competitive awards are offered each year.
